Ukraine, Moldova, Turkey, Syria and Morocco: many families are currently forced to live in temporary shelters and settlements. Now that the days are getting shorter and the nights longer, they are feeling the cold all the more intensely. War in Ukraine: ensuring survival, giving health In Ukraine, where the second winter of war is setting in, fears are growing for the most vulnerable: the elderly, the sick and children who may not be able to withstand the icy cold. action medeor is therefore working with project partner IBC to build two more health centers in the districts of Mykolaiv and Kherson, and our mobile health service is reaching families in remote areas. Over-the-counter medication such as painkillers and remedies for diabetes, high blood pressure and cardiovascular problems are distributed free of charge. While we provide hot soup and drinks to more than 300 displaced people and homeless people in Mykolaiv, Ukraine, every day, this winter our aid is once again reaching families who have fled to the Republic of Moldova. Earthquakes in Turkey, Syria and Morocco: aid for the disaster after the disaster To meet the growing need for aid in Turkey and Syria, action medeor is distributing blankets, mattresses, winter clothing and hot meals. In Morocco, people are also looking forward to winter with great concern after a devastating earthquake in September hit many mountain villages in the High Atlas Mountains hard. action medeor has provided 300 winterized tents. "Many places still lack very basic things. Very few people here are already able to withstand the cold temperatures" Axel Dechampsresponsible for emergency aid at action medeor Whether it's a natural disaster or everyday warfare, winter hits people who are already living in great need particularly hard. Therefore it is now more important than ever to help. Please stand by those affected and help with your Christmas donation!
