Make a donation in kind

action medeor accepts donations in kind under certain conditions. We will be happy to check your offer!

action medeor has been supplying health centers in the world's poorest countries with medicines, medical equipment and consumables for over 50 years. These shipments are mainly financed by donations. However, we also rely on life-saving donations in kind.

As a company, you can provide valuable help:

  • In the area of medicines (as a pharmaceutical manufacturer and wholesaler)
  • In the area of medical equipment (as a manufacturer and wholesaler of consumables, medical devices, instruments, dressing materials, etc.)

The medicines or medical equipment must meet the following criteria:

  • a valid shelf life (at least 13 months, shorter in justified exceptional cases)
  • a reliable source (no doctor's samples, returns or products that have already been given to patients)

Guidelines and requirements

Although we urgently need donations in kind, we can only accept donations that meet our strict quality requirements. Medicines must be suitable for use in developing countries. One or more of the action medeor partners with a specific need and potential use must be identified.

Info material and donation receipt

In accordance with German pharmaceutical law, we are in possession of a pharmaceutical wholesale license (according to §52a AMG) and a recognized central pharmaceutical procurement office (according to §47 AMG). On request, we will issue you with a donation receipt and send you further information material on the intended use/recipient, which you are welcome to use for publication.

We ensure that your donation in kind is used according to your needs

action medeor has a global network of trustworthy partners who sustainably improve healthcare in the poorest regions of the world. These include large hospitals, small health centers and other aid organizations in the field. Many pharmaceutical companies want to do good with their medicines and medical supplies, especially in emergencies and disasters.

In the past, we have been able to successfully and effectively pass on donations in kind to people for whom this help was often essential for survival. However, in order to effectively forward these donations in kind to the appropriate recipient, professional handling of your donation is required. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Donations in kind from private individuals

Unfortunately, medeor cannot accept individual donations in the form of medicines, for example from private patients - even if this offer is of course always linked to the good intentions of the individual donor.

In order to provide efficient aid, it is important to us that the medicines are specifically tailored to the needs of the affected region and are sent in large quantities. It is often more expensive to send small individual donations because the logistics are relatively complex. This is why action medeor has so-called generics produced in large quantities - they are inexpensive and meet the high quality requirements.

On the other hand, we always check offers to donate large quantities of medication, for example from pharmaceutical companies. Device donations are therefore difficult, as there are often no instructions for use in the required language and there is a risk that the device will need to be repaired on site, which could result in additional costs.

If you would still like to support us, we are always happy to accept monetary donations.
