Photo: Your City After heavy attacks: action medeor assists the injured in southern Ukraine Press releases 13 June 2025 Immediately after yesterday's heavy attacks on various cities in Ukraine, the medical aid organization action medeor, together with its local partners, launched initial relief efforts for those affected. In the southern Ukrainian port city of Odessa, staff and volunteers from the aid organization "Your City" treated the injured and provided them with medication. This was not the first aid operation of this kind. Odessa has repeatedly been the target of drone and missile attacks in the past, and Your City and action medeor have already provided first aid multiple times after such attacks. With the support of action medeor, Your City operates a social pharmacy in Odessa that distributes medication free of charge to people in need. “Normally, we provide chronically ill patients here with the medication they depend on,” says Markus Bremers, spokesperson for action medeor, who has been on site several times himself. “But providing care for the injured and psychological support for civilian victims of attacks is increasingly becoming an additional responsibility for us and our partners—one that also requires extra resources,” says Bremers. action medeor is therefore continuing to actively call for donations to support emergency aid in Ukraine. Anyone wishing to support the organization’s work can do so most easily online at www.medeor.de/spenden, where they can also provide their address for a donation receipt. Alternatively, donations can be made via IBAN DE78 3205 0000 0000 0099 93 at Sparkasse Krefeld, reference: “Ukraine.” Your Contact Person Dr. Markus Bremers Press spokesman Phone: +49 2156 9788-178 TPL_EMAIL This email address is being protected from spambots.
