First aid training in Nepal

So that help can be provided quickly in an emergency: In a rural region of Nepal, the teaching staff of the surrounding schools took part in a first aid course.

In our joint project with the local organization ECCA, teachers were trained in first aid for three days. These skills are particularly important in our project area, as many villages are very remote and difficult to reach in an emergency.

The course therefore not only covered acute first aid in an emergency, but also how to recognize and avoid potential sources of danger and how to treat simple injuries. After the training, each school received first aid bags so that they are well prepared for possible emergencies in the future.
