The children's hospital in Kiev treated children suffering from cancer, among other things, whose treatment was sometimes continued on the open street shortly after the attacks. This makes it clear: The medical need in Ukraine is huge and has been exacerbated by the renewed attacks. The action medeor medical warehouse therefore continues to regularly pack aid shipments with medicines, medical supplies and equipment and send them to healthcare facilities throughout the country. Supplies for regions close to the front We also support medical care in the country together with local partner organizations: For example, a mobile pharmacy is used to reach villages close to the front line in Kherson Oblast that would otherwise have no medical care at all. The villages have already been the target of two attacks. Since then, the electricity and water supply has been destroyed and there are virtually no stores, pharmacies or doctors' surgeries left. Nevertheless, many residents returned to their home villages or had even had to stay in them during the occupation because they were too old or ill to flee. Our partner organization UHSG regularly visits these villages and provides the residents with relief supplies. Help since the start of the war Since the military escalation in February 2022, action medeor has been supporting around 180 hospitals and healthcare facilities in Ukraine with urgently needed medicines, medical equipment and medical technology. A total of 280 aid shipments with over 900 tons of medicines and medical equipment have been sent to Ukraine since then.
