We are looking for a full-time Trainee (f/m/d) to join our Programme Department at our headquarters in Tönisvorst, Lower Rhine region, starting in November 2026 (40 hours per week). You will contribute to partner projects in Spanish-speaking and French-speaking country contexts. Your Responsibilities Supporting the planning and monitoring of development cooperation and humanitarian aid projects and programmes Assisting with financial management and project accounting Processing project proposals from local partner organisations Supporting third-party funding acquisition, including grant applications (particularly to the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), the Federal Foreign Office (AA), and foundations) Accompanying project monitoring visits Particularly during the second year: independently managing one or more projects or programme components Preparing project information for communications and public relations activities and drafting project reports Carrying out administrative tasks within the Programme Department and supporting event organisation Allocated time for self-study and participation in training courses Your Profile Completed university degree or degree from a university of applied sciences in a relevant field Excellent German, Spanish and French language skills (minimum B2, preferably C1) Initial experience (e.g. through internships) in project work within development cooperation and/or humanitarian aid Strong intercultural competence Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong organisational and coordination skills, team spirit, initiative and commitment Excellent communication and collaboration skills Willingness to undertake regular business trips to project regions What We Offer Further information about our trainee programme can be found here: Careers at action medeor Independent work within a dedicated and motivated team Participation in at least one monitoring visit to a project country Access to specialised training courses in project management and health, in line with the trainee programme concept The possibility of hybrid working on selected days after the onboarding period and by mutual agreement A gross monthly salary of €2,600 during the first year of the trainee programme, increasing to €2,800 in the second year Upon successful completion of the trainee programme, we aim to offer a position as a Junior Programme Officer, subject to organisational staffing needs Help Make Health for All Possible!
