German Council for Donations Commitments & donation seals action medeor is a member of the German Donations Council and holder of the donation certificate. For over 20 years, the member organizations of the German Donations Council have been committed to strengthening transparency in the German donation system. They are committed to maintaining high quality standards. action medeor is a holder of the donation certificate In May 2017, action medeor was one of the first 15 organizations to receive the German Donations Council's donation certificate. The certificate is awarded as proof of transparency and ethical handling of donations. The donation certificate is the only audit procedure in Germany in which auditors perform the quality control of the donation certificate. The certificate is awarded following successful completion of a two-stage audit process. In the first stage, the organization undertakes to disclose its structures, activities, projects and finances in a transparent, clear and comprehensible annual report and to have its finances audited by auditors. In the second stage, a further audit is carried out by at least two independent auditing institutions. The strict criteria for awarding the donation certificate are based on the principles and declaration of commitment of the German Donations Council.
