Photo: action medeor Political dialogue at action medeor Press releases 06 May 2026 These days, the medical aid organization action medeor welcomed Parliamentary State Secretary to the Federal Minister of Health Georg Kippels and the Member of the German Bundestag for the Viersen constituency, Martin Plum, to its headquarters in Tönisvorst. In discussions with President Siegfried Thomaßen, CEO and Spokesperson of the Executive Board Sid Peruvemba, and Executive Board Member Angela Zeithammer, the participants exchanged views on current challenges and future perspectives in global health care. Peruvemba highlighted the special meaning of this dialogue: "Especially in times of increasing global crisis it is improtant, to show the meaning of humanitarian aid and to discuss solutions togehter." Zeithammer added, that the work of action medeor is in need of reliable partners. „The dialogue with political decision-makers is really helpful to further improve the framework conditions for international health projects." During the guided tour that followed through our warehouse, the guests got an impression of the logistic processes and the international work of the medical aid organization. Kippels was impressed of the engagement: "If in Somalia, Congo or the Ukraine - action medeor makes an important contribution to medical care worldwide. Such initiatives deserve our full support." Plum, who is a member of the advisory committee, also highlighted the special role of the medical aid organization: "action medeor does outstanding humanitarian work from our region.
