Press action medeor

This was announced by Bernd Schoenmackers, Managing Director of the Grefrath EisSport&EventPark, during a visit to Tönisvorst. “In times when wars and crises are increasing worldwide, it is more important than ever to support the emergency and disaster relief efforts of action medeor,” says Schoenmackers, who has supported the work of the medical aid organization for many years also as a member of the Niederrhein Entrepreneurs Initiative (UI).

The Show for Charity will take place on Thursday, November 20. Three euros from each ticket sold will go to the “World’s Emergency Pharmacy,” as action medeor is also called. The partnership between the Tönisvorst-based aid organization and the Grefrath EisSport & EventPark has existed since 2019. “We are very pleased about this wonderful support,” says Angela Zeithammer, Board Member at action medeor, adding: “Every euro counts.”

With just 20 euros, action medeor can already equip a health station with a stethoscope, which is needed to listen to the heart and lungs and monitor circulatory and respiratory functions. In many regions where action medeor is committed to improving healthcare, even such simple medical equipment is often not available, Zeithammer knows. A blood pressure monitor, which is important for the early detection of high blood pressure and cardiovascular diseases, costs 40 euros. “A simple but indispensable tool that saves lives,” says the board member.

The title of this year’s Holiday on Ice show is “Cinema of Dreams.” It is an exciting story about friendship, imagination, and the courage to dream. The show can be seen daily in Grefrath from November 19 to 23. Presale has already begun.
