The money will be used to finance the first emergency aid measures that action medeor's Turkish and Syrian partner organizations have already begun in the last few hours. Earthquake victims are being given initial medical care, provided with food, tents and blankets and housed in reception facilities. At the same time, action medeor's medical warehouse in Tönisvorst on the Lower Rhine is now starting to assemble the first relief supplies. Dressing materials, patient monitors and oxygen concentrators are being packed in these hours to be sent to the affected areas as quickly as possible. The partners of action medeor are working in the Turkish region around the cities of Gaziantep, Sanliurfa, Kilis and Hatay, the Syrian partners in the Idlib region.
