The economic situation is difficult for many people in Colombia due to armed conflicts and a migration crisis. That is why we are helping locals and refugees from neighboring Venezuela to build up their own source of income through self-employment. Together with our local partner organization CDP, for example, we are working to train those affected on topics such as self-employment and marketing. And this is bearing fruit: A number of small groups have already formed in the project, which, for example, grow fruit and vegetables together - for their own consumption and for sale. Another group has set up a small bakery business. Through these small entrepreneurial initiatives, people are opening up future prospects for themselves and their families.
