Two years after the flood

From acute emergency aid to long-term reconstruction: We take a look at the relief efforts of the last two years.

First time: deployment in Germany

Two years ago, the flood disaster hit parts of Rhineland-Palatinate and North Rhine-Westphalia with full force. action medeor became active in Germany for the first time in the organization's history! Since then, we can look back on a large number of relief measures that we have implemented thanks in part to the support of donors like you.

"In the face of such a disaster, which happened virtually on our doorstep, we could not remain inactive. That's why it was clear to us: we would help!"

Extensive help

From solar-powered street lighting and container rooms for destroyed doctors' surgeries and pharmacies to mobile home care for the elderly, sports facilities for children and young people and psychotherapeutic treatments: The measures taken by action medeor in the flood region were and are extensive.

Many of these projects continue to this day. And they have adapted to the changed conditions, as Alexandra explains: "The container solutions have secured medical and pharmaceutical care for the people. In the meantime, the doctor's surgery and pharmacy have been able to move back into their premises. The containers are now being used for psychotherapeutic services."

THANK YOU

We were only able to implement these and many other projects thanks to donors like you - thank you for your support!

Your help is still needed

Our help is also needed outside Germany in many crisis-stricken regions. We would be delighted if you would support the work of action medeor with your donation and help people around the world to gain access to healthcare. Every donation is welcome and makes an important contribution!
