Many developing countries face shortages of health personnel including pharmaceutical staff; in rural areas the situation is often alarming.

Besides training pharmaceutical personnel that works in health facilities action medeor also supports the pharmaceutical sector by providing training courses since 2005. In these courses action medeor focuses on special topics in the field of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), Good Storage Practice (GSP) and Good Regulatory Practice. We have already trained more than 500 pharmaceutical experts working in the industry and in authorities in various countries, especially in East and West Africa as well as in Haiti. Our objective as a charitable non-governmental medical aid organisation is to improve and harmonize the production and regulatory monitoring of medicines and medical products according to International Pharmaceutical Standards. Thus we enable local manufacturers and authorities to ensure that safe, effective and good-quality medicines are produced and circulating in the market.
